A studio should not just be a quiet room you rent by the hour. Ours come with the crew, the cameras and the edit already included.
Cheshire Podcast Studio sits at Priory Farm on Priory Road in Bowdon, on the edge of Altrincham. We built three separate podcast sets so that a business shooting a polished brand film and a first-time host recording episode one do not have to squeeze into the same corner of the same room. All three are acoustically treated, all three carry the same camera and audio package, and all three cost exactly the same per hour.
Every booking includes 4K multi-camera video across two to three angles, four Shure MV7X broadcast microphones on separate XLR channels, cinematic lighting, a videographer and a sound technician in the room for the whole session, and a full long-form edit afterwards with unlimited free revisions. There is no equipment fee, no studio surcharge and no charge for choosing one room over another.
Clients travel to us from Altrincham, Hale, Bowdon, Wilmslow, Knutsford, Sale, Stockport, Warrington, Chester, Liverpool and central Manchester. Most of them tell us the drive is quicker than finding parking in town.
Studio One
Warm, textured and high-end. The room clients remember afterwards.
Deep colour, wood panelling and soft practical lighting give Studio One a character that does half the work for you. It is the set people picture when they imagine a podcast: velvet seating, a lamp in the corner, plants, and enough depth behind the subject that the camera has something to fall away into.
It seats four comfortably on mic and takes set dressing well, so if you want your own props, books, branding or product on shelf, this is the room for it. It suits panel formats, longer interviews and any show where you want the space itself to feel like part of the brand.
The White Studio
Clean, bright and easy to make your own.
Light warm tones and custom RGB lighting mean the room can carry your brand colour rather than fight it. Turn the tubes orange, blue, green or leave them white, and the whole set changes character in about thirty seconds.
It is the most versatile of the three and the one we reach for when a booking is as much about photography or social content as it is about a podcast. Headshots, brand photography, product shots, course modules and vertical social clips all work here, because the background stays out of the way until you want it to do something.
Studio Platinum
Editorial and cinematic without tipping into corporate.
Built around a slat wall backdrop framed either side by curated bookcases, taking its cue from the look that made Diary of a CEO instantly recognisable. The slats catch the backlight and give the frame depth, and the shelves give you something to dress with objects that say something about you.
It photographs beautifully, it holds a wide shot, and it does not look like a meeting room with a microphone in it. This is the room most people pick for a season opener, a flagship episode, a course they are going to sell, or anything that has to look like it cost more than it did.

What else the rooms
get used for
Roughly a third of our bookings are not podcasts at all. The same rooms, cameras and crew handle a lot more than interviews.
Brand and corporate video
Founder films, recruitment videos, explainer content and case studies. Studio Platinum reads as editorial rather than corporate, which is usually what a business actually wants.
Headshots and photography
The White Studio with its RGB lighting is built for it. Team headshots, personal branding shoots and product photography all work here at the same hourly rate.
Online courses
Multi-module course filming with a teleprompter, including turning an existing book into a filmed course with the editing to match.
Audiobooks and voice
Acoustically treated rooms and broadcast microphones mean the audio holds up without a video camera pointed at you at all.
Short-form social
Batch a month of vertical content in one visit. Twenty clips from a single session start at £79.
Live guest interviews
Four people on separate XLR channels means a panel or a round-table stays clean in the mix, even when someone gets loud.

Can I use more than one set in a session?
Yes, on a two or four hour booking. Moving between rooms costs nothing extra, it just uses some of your time. Plenty of people shoot the interview in Studio One and then grab vertical clips in the White Studio.
How many people can I bring?
Four on mic across four XLR channels, plus a couple of extra people off camera. If you are planning something bigger, tell us first and we will make it work.
Can I bring my own branding or props?
Please do. Studio One and the White Studio both take set dressing well, and it makes the footage look like yours rather than ours.
Do you shoot photography here too?
Yes. Headshots, brand photography and product shots, mostly in the White Studio. Same hourly rates as a podcast session.
Do all three studios cost the same?
Yes. There is no premium room. Studio One, the White Studio and Studio Platinum are all charged at the same hourly rate, with the same kit and the same crew.
Can I visit before booking?
Absolutely, and quite a few people do. Book a studio visit and have a proper look around before you commit to anything.
