Bank Square and Grove Street are full of firms that should be publishing something. Financial services, law, property, recruitment, consultancy, a serviced office on every other door. What the town does not have, as far as we can find, is a dedicated video podcast studio.
That is the whole reason this page exists. You do not need to drive into Manchester, pay for a city centre car park and then discover the room you booked comes with a hard drive and a handshake. Twenty minutes the other way there is a purpose built facility with three sets, crew in the room and the edit already paid for.
Book two hours, turn up, and talk. Three cameras, broadcast microphones and lighting are set before you arrive. A videographer and a sound technician stay with you throughout, and the finished episode comes back inside three working days.

The edit is included
Colour grade, angle cuts and audio clean-up are in the price, not a separate invoice from a freelancer three weeks later.
Crew stay in the room
A videographer and a sound technician for the whole session, so nobody in your team has to learn what a gain stage is.
Broadcast quiet
Acoustically treated rooms on a farm site. If your firm cares about sounding credible, this is the part that does it.
Easy for guests flying in
Manchester Airport is fifteen minutes from the studio and four miles from Wilmslow. If you are interviewing someone who is flying in, this is genuinely convenient for both of you.
The A538
does most of the work
Driving. The A538 runs Wilmslow, past Manchester Airport, through Hale and into Altrincham, then it is a short hop up to Bowdon. Around eight miles, usually about twenty minutes, longer at school run o'clock.
Motorway. If you prefer motorway miles, take the A538 to junction 6 of the M56 and come off at junction 7, which is the Bowdon junction.
Without a car. Being straight with you, the train is awkward. There is no direct rail link from Wilmslow to Altrincham, and the routed journey goes via Stockport and takes over an hour. The 88 bus runs Wilmslow to Altrincham in about twenty five minutes and is the better option, or drive.

Twenty minutes
from the Interchange,
on foot or by cab
Driving. Head south out of the town centre on the A56 towards Bowdon, then up to Priory Road. It is roughly a mile and a half. Free parking on site.
Tram and train. Altrincham Interchange is the terminus of the Metrolink Altrincham line and a stop on the Mid-Cheshire rail line. From the Interchange it is a short taxi ride, or a walk of about twenty five minutes if the weather is behaving.
Guests travelling in. If someone is coming from Manchester, tell them to get off at Altrincham. It is the easiest meeting point in the area and the last leg is a five minute cab.

How long does it take to drive from Wilmslow?
Around eight miles and usually about twenty minutes, straight up the A538 through Hale. Allow a little longer between eight and nine in the morning.
Is there a podcast studio in Wilmslow itself?
Not that we can find. There are photography and film studios in the area, and music studios further out, but no dedicated video podcast facility in SK9. That is why most Wilmslow clients end up driving to Bowdon or into Manchester.
Can I get there by train?
Not easily. There is no direct rail link between Wilmslow and Altrincham, and the routed journey goes via Stockport and takes over an hour. The 88 bus does Wilmslow to Altrincham in roughly twenty five minutes, but for most people driving is simply quicker.
